Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution

As you may know, we Farrar’s have an ancestor who was a solder in the American Revolution. As direct descendants we can join the patriotic organizations: Sons or Daughters of the American Revolution.

Both organizations are civic minded and each chapter does many things related to their respective communities and for the country in general. You can contact them direct for more specific information about what they do. I have included a link to their web page (both the National and the California organizations) below.

I am presently working on compiling the documentation necessary to join. An official ancestor trail must be documented to obtain membership. Once I have accomplished this, the information will be made available to any Family member wishing to join the organizations. At that time you will need to obtain an application from DAR or SAR and submit it with the paperwork I am compiling.

Our path back to our revolutionary ancestor is as follows (their children are shown below each name):

If anyone has any documentation such as copies of birth and death certificates, census information, marriage license etc. which would show each ancestor and their children’s names, it would be most helpful. You can contact me via email by clicking on the envelope at the bottom of the page if you have anything that may help in documenting the family line.
