The book was originally written by Miss Alvahn Holmes in 1972.  This book is a valuable history of the Farrar family that descends from William Farrar, the Farrar's Island emigrant.

The book is an enjoyable, well written and well researched history of the family.  The book has been reviewed and accepted by the College of Arms in England which has verified the pedigree of William Farrar of Virginia.  A letter from the College of Arms in 1971 indicates this acceptance.
